Two proclamations signed by Mayor Fontenot
Mayor Scott Fontenot signs two proclamations presented by the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 8971 and Auxiliary. The proclamations include Buddy Poppy Days and Veterans Day. Buddy Poppy Days are recognized from Oct. 6 through Nov. 11 with time-honored traditional recognition of bright red poppies, and all donations for the fundraising campaign helps to benefit those disabled and needy veterans and the widows and ophans of deceased veterans. The city of Eunice will recognize and honor veterans on Veterans Day Nov. 11 for their patriotism, love of our country, and their willingness to dedicate themselves completely to the common good.
