VFW Post 8971 presents two high school scholarships

Gene Olivier, Commander of the VFW Post 8971, presented two 2014 high school graduating seniors with $1,000 scholarships each. Left are Jacob Sonnier of Eunice High School, Olivier, and Margaret Rose Vidrine of St. Edmund High. Sonnier plans to attend LSU Eunice in the fall to pursue a pre-med degree; and Vidrine is making plans to attend LSU Eunice this fall to study Biology then transfer to LSU Baton Rouge to obtain a pre-med degree.
