Tony Broussard announced he will seek election as District 6 Police Juror in the Oct. 24 election.
A lifelong resident of Acadia Parish, he graduated from Crowley High School in 1982 and has been a resident of the Mire community for the past 28 years. He noted Mire was where he spent his summers with cousins and aunt and uncle Pat and Berchman Junior Venable.
He has been married 29 years to the former Sondra Leleux, a 1985 graduate of Notre Dame High School and LSUE. They have three sons, Joshua, Jacob and Jordan.
A business development manager, territory manager and national key account manager in the wholesale C-store distribution business, he worked his way up to the third largest distributor in the United States, the H.T. Hackney Co.
In 2003, he decided to start his own business and is now the owner and sole operator of Genesis Seafood Cajun Specialty Foods Company.
