Movies playing at the Queen Cinema in Eunice were “Are We There Yet?,” “Racing Stripes,” “Electra,” and “Meet the Fockers.”
Jacob Thibodeaux was “President Bush” when Glendale Elementary staged its own presidential inaugural ball.
Inductees into the St. Edmund Catholic School BETA Club included Stevie Fontenot, Mandy Bertrand, Caroline Frey, Cori Bergeron, Seth Richard, Darrian Soileau, Trey Quirk, Adam Clause, Morgan Bollich, Mehgan Fontenot, Brooke Fontenot, Donavan Guillory, John Moosa, Hunter Darbonne, Sarah Moosa, Andre Aguillard, Morgan Richard, Lani Vidrine, Quinn D’Aubin, Brody Olivier, Jensea Elfert and Trevor Landreneau. City Judge Lynnette Feucht swore in the new members.
Cadi Brooke Pedigo of Eunice was crowned Louisiana Fur & Wildlife Festival Queen in Cameron. She is the daughter of Roger and Gail Pedigo of Eunice.
Former Eunice Mayor Curtis Joubert was inducted into the Louisiana Political Museum’s Hall of Fame.
Kevin Ardoin, a 2001 graduate of St. Edmund High School, was named the Sunbelt Conference’s Preseason Pitcher of Year. Ardoin had been selected in the 12th round of the MLB draft by the Texas Rangers.
Susan Gaspard was named 2004 Citizen of the Year by the Eunice Rotary Club. Gaspard was on the faculty at LSUE.
