Sam Muffoletto spent a weekend in New Orleans in the interest of the new pop manufacturing plant which he and Sam Uzzo of New Orleans will open here in the near future. The machinery has been purchased.

Albert Moresi has purchased the Eunice Bottling Works from Steve Guillory and will consolidate it with Eureka Ice Co. which he has also purchased.

Round trip rates to New Orleans for Mardi Gras over the Southern Pacific Lines adre $9.30, with extension privileges for $1 extra.

J.B. Andrews, who has been with the Post Office, is now secretary-treasurer of the Eunice Grain Co.

Eunice Bank & Trust has incorporated with $50,000 capital stock. Oscar Mistric is president and cashier. The board of directors includes H. Gordon Brunson, L.O. Wade, Joseph Frey, Emile Miller, Abe Boudreaux, Dr. Harry Jenkins, Henry LaFleur and J.W. Berwick, all of Eunice; Ben Christman and Austin Fontenot, both of Opelousas; and Isom J. Guillory of New Orllans.

Improvements are being made to the Masonic Hall over Chisholm’s Drug Store. A partition is being built and an office will be provided for Dr. C.W. Lewis in front of the lodge rooms.
The Evangeline Preparatory School in Basile is to become a junior college in the future and operate on a larger scale, succeeding the burned facility.

An up-to-date swimming pool is to be built by Murphy Guillory on his property just west of town and supplied with water from his deep well, one of the best in the area.
