Staff Report

The 29th annual Eunice Food Bank Food Drive was held Tuesday with the community giving to the need of others.
Mary Ann Guillory, director at Eunice Food Bank, said she is pleased with the outcome.
“We collected five and half tons of food. Last year’s total was a little over six tons. We also had monetary donations from locals of $2,000,” she said.
There were extra volunteers on hand Tuesday to help with donations of food items and staples.
“I was extremely pleased that I had help. Ten extra volunteers helped out.”
The Eunice Food Bank will continue to accept non-perishable food items, tolietries and monetary donations through the end of the year.
Donations can be dropped off at the food bank location, 251 W. Park Avenue, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. until noon.
