Josie Frank says she's city judge candidate
St. Landry Parish School Board President Josie Gale Frank said last week she will be a candidate for Eunice city judge in the November primary.
Frank is hearing officer for the 27th Judicial District Court, a post she’s held several years.
In announcing her candidacy, Frank noted her hearing officer duties are similar to many of the duties of the city judge.
Frank who represents District 12, Eunice, on the School Board, has also been an assistant district attorney for DA Morgan Goudeau and has been a trial attorney for the Indigent Defender Board.
She is a Louisiana Supreme Court-certified mediator and served on the task for establishment of the mediation process in the state.
For the past 18 years she has been chosen an arbitrator for federal employment contract collective bargaining cases spanning 11 states.
City Judge Lynette Feucht is retiring.
Frank is the third announced candidate, joining Paul Brown and Terry Hoychick in the race.
