Kiwanis Club sponsoring mayoral debate

The Kiwanis Club of Eunice is sponsoring a mayorall debate at 6 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Liberty Theater.
The candidates for mayor have been invited to speak and answer questions about several topics, including infrastructure, housing, creating local jobs and growth, environmental sustainability and public safety.
Candidates in the special Eunice election for mayor are:
Scott A. Fontenot, No Party, 531 W. Park Blvd., Eunice.
“Tim” Longman, Republican, 1201 Yukon St., Eunice.
Roland Miller, Republican, 1220 Faris Ave., Eunice.
William “Mr. Bill” Thompson, Democrat, 411 Harold St., Eunice.
A special election is also occurring for Ward 4 Alderman. The candidates are:
James “Donnie” Fontenot, No Party, 421 S. Fifth St., Eunice.
“Dale” Soileau, Democrat, 441 S. Sixth St., Eunice.
Shantell Arredondo Ward, Republican, 1451 Scott St. Eunice.
The debate will be moderated and open to the public.
