Maybe mom needs a bat
The mother of a 14-year-old girl called police to her house early today to get a 16-year-old boy out of the daughter’s room.
Three days ago, she alerted officers to the same situation, saying the girl is under house arrest and she wanted juvenile officers to know the terms of the arrest had been violated.
Since juveniles’ names are not public record under Louisiana law it is indeterminate whether the girl is the same 14-year-old charged that day with contempt of court.
What can be determined from public record is the girl is apparently the same one who took her mother’s car without permission about a month ago in order to go to a party at a boy’s house in Basile.
She wrecked the vehicle, and she and two juvenile girls with her proceeded to the party.
After their arrest, the other two girls were sent sent to a juvenile facility for breaking terms of probation. The 14-year-old was released to her mother, apparently under house arrest.
Records do not indicate whether the boy in the three instances is the same.
