LifePoint Hospitals, a hospital company focused on providing quality health care services close to home, awarded Mercy Regional Medical Center and its Eunice campus, Acadian Medical Center with a 2014 High Five Award for demonstrating excellence across all aspects of the hospital’s operations. Mercy was one of five facilities within LifePoint’s network of more than 60 hospitals across the country to earn thew recognition.
The High Five Award is awarded annually to five of LifePoint’s hospitals that have demonstrated extraordinary achievement in fulfilling the company’s High Five Guiding Principles:
—Delivering high quality patient care;
—Supporting physicians;
—Creating excellent workplaces for employees;
—Taking a leadership role in our communities; and
—Ensuring fiscal responsibility.
“For years, our hospital has been a crucial part of Ville Platte and Eunice and deeply devoted to the health and well-being of its people. This award reflects the dedication of every member of our staff, our physicians and our volunteers,” said Scott Smith, chief executive officer of Mercy Regional Medical Center/Acadian Medical Center. “It is because of Mercy and Acadian’s exceptional team that we were successful across all areas of our High Five Guiding Principles last year. We are driven to maintaining our momentum in 2015 to continue advancing healthcare in Ville Platte and Eunice and the surrounding communities.”
As part of the award, the hospital received a check from LifePoint in the amount of $100,000 to invest in facility improvements and technology as the hospital continues to grow and enhance its medical services.
The award was accepted by Mercy and Acadian’s leadership team on behalf of the entire hospital staff at LifePoint’s annual hospital leadership meeting on March 10 in Nashville, Tennessee.
