Police probe alleged choking at check out

Investigators are studying surveillance tape to determine the identity of a man who allegedly tried to strangle a woman at a grocery store.
According to the victim, about 8:30 Sunday night a man in Kim’s Market called her a “hoe” and she told him to look at his wife.
While she was waiting at the register to check out, she told police, the man approached her and began choking her, then fled.
Reports noted investigators were waiting to view the video.
About the same time Sunday, on the other side of town a man called to complain about a prostitute using his bank access card without permission.
The man did not offer any particulars in the report other than to note where the person allegedly using his card lives.
