Santa Claus is back in Eunice for the Kiwanis Christmas Parade scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. today on North 2nd Street.
The parade is to head south on 2nd Street to Park Avenue where it will turn west and proceed to Circle Park where it turn back to east on Park Avenue and end at City Hall.
Santa and Mrs. Claus are to be available for photos at City Hall.
The parade includes the Eunice High School, Eunice Junior High School, Central Middle School, Basile High School, Iota High School bands. St. Edmund and Eunice high school spirit groups have been invited to participate in the parade.
At 7 p.m. the Eunice Community Concert Band and Choir will hold its Christmas production “On With the Snow” at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Liberty Center.
The Eunice Community Concert Band and Choir features the community concert band and choir, community children’s choir and an art exhibition by the Fine Arts Council of Eunice.
Selections include “Breath of Heaven,” “On With the Snow,” “Jesus What a Wonderful Child,” “O Come to Set Us Free,” “Shepherd’s Joy,” “Born in Bethlehem,” “A Home Alone Christmas,” “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” “Christmas at the Movies,” “Country Cookin’ Christmas,” “Mele Kalikimaka,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Merry Christmas to All,” and an audience sing-a-long.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children under 12 and are available by calling 337-457-1776. Tickets are sold at the door.
