St. Landry bags alleged high-volume drug trafficker

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz announced today the arrest of an alleged drug trafficker, Michael A. Cain.
Sheriff Guidroz stated, “The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Enforcement Team conducted a two-year investigation on Cain. Cain had allegedly been trafficking narcotics from Texas to Louisiana and into St. Landry Parish. Our narcotic investigators conducted several undercover purchases and numerous hours of video surveillance.”
Guidroz said, “Cain was transporting cocaine, ecstasy and 300 pounds of marijuana into St. Landry Parish in numerous vehicles that were equipped with hidden compartments. The street value of just the marijuana alone was $135,000.:
Cain was taken into custody at this residence with no incident.
He faces charges of possession with intent to distribute schedule I CDS (Marijuana), distribution of a schedule II, CDS (Crack Cocaine), distribution of a schedule I CSD Methylone (Ecstasy), transactions involving proceeds from drug sales, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of uniform CDS Law in a drug free zone.
“He is currently being held at the St. Landry Parish Jail with no bond,” Guidroz added.
