Toepfer of Eunice dies from injuries sustained in a Thursday morning motorcycle crash.

Darrel Toepfer, 54, of Eunice died early this morning from injuries sustained in a crash that happened on Thursday in New Iberia.
New Iberia Deputies say around 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning, a woman driving on Center Street in New Iberia was trying to turn left into a driveway, when she crossed into the path of a motorcycle driven by Darrel Toepfer.
Toepfer was hospitalized with head injuries and died at 1:20 this morning.
The driver of the vehicle, 62-year-old Betty Walker of New Iberia, was not injured. Walker was cited for failure to yield.
The crash remains under investigation.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday for Toepfer at First Baptist Church in Eunice at 4 p.m.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held from noon until time of the Memorial Service.
