Wreck on Hwy. 13

A two-vehicle wreck occurred on Aymond Street (La. 13) in front of the Chevron station at about 4 p.m. Wednesday. The wreck occurred as Shane Porche of Mamou, driving a pickup truck, was turning into the station and collided with a car driven by Jamie Fontenot of Eunice, police said. Fontenot was taken to Acadian Medical Center where he was treated and released, police said. Porche was taken to a Lafayette hospital, police said. (Photo by Claudette Olivier)
