40th anniversary celebrated
An anniversary party was held in honor of Kullen and Pam Trahan of Crowley. The couple celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary amidst family and friends on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the South Crowley Knights of Columbus Home.
Mrs. Trahan is the former Pam Bouillion. She is the daughter of Bill Bouillion and the late Winnie Bouillion. Mrs. Trahan enjoys her days as a homemaker.
Mr. Trahan is the son of Edgar and Astize Trahan. He is currently employed with Stine Lumber Company.
The couple was married on July 15, 1967 at St. Michael’s Church. They are the parents of five grown children, Kullen Trahan, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; Nakia Trahan of Arkansas; Buffie Crochet of Hathaway; Markeitha Faulk and Pharabie Comeaux, both of Crowley. They have 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
On this special day, Mrs. Trahan was lovely in a fuschia two-piece blouse set paired with black slacks. She was presented with a corsage of red and white sweet heart roses and baby’s breath, while her husband of 40 years was dashing in a rust colored dress shirt and black trousers. He was presented with a boutonniere consisting of a single red rose with accents.
The cake featured a one layer confection with white icing, accented with red roses. An inscription saying, “Happy 40th anniversary Kullen and Pam” intertwined with wedding bells served as the focal point of the cake.
Approximately 75 guests accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Trahan on this joyful occasion.
Out of town visitors traveled from Hathaway and various point of Texas and Arkansas.
