Fred J. Rushing Jr.

Services for Mr. Fred J. Rushing, Jr., 84, of Mangham will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Mangham Baptist Church with Bro. Rick Aultman officiating.

Interment followed at Gwin Cemetery.

Mr. Rushing was born September 19, 1923 in Vicksburg, MS and went to be with the Lord on September 18, 2008.

Mr. Rushing was a World War II veteran and a retired Farm Bureau Insurance Agency manager.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Rushing.

Survivors include his sons: Fred J. Rushing, III and his wife Connie of Monroe, Paul Rushing of Rockville, MD, Eric Rushing and Anjie Calhoun of Mangham, and Kurt Rushing and his wife Kelly of Merrill, WI; seven grandchildren, Jaime Blazier and husband Jason of Monroe, Jennifer Dickey and husbnd Curtis of West Monroe, Samantha and Paul Jr. Rushing of Rockville, MD., and Kurt Jr., Christian and Ian Rushing of Merril, WI; and four great grandchildren, Maya and Mallory Rushing of Monroe, and Alex Rushing and John Curtis Dickey of West Monroe.

Pallbearers were Steve Dean, Pat Hollis, J. L. Hendrix, David McQueen, Jerry Gandy and Frank Hendrix.

Honorary pallbearers were his Sunday School class and the deacons of MBC led by D. B. McKay.
