Edward Jack Miller

Edward Jack Miller died on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Evangeline Extended Care Hospital in Mamou at the age of 83.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel, Eunice, at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 02, 2010. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Miller was a United States Merchant Marines and Army veteran. He was a retired tool pusher/driller in the oilfield.

Survivodrs include his wife, Annie Veillon Miller of Eunice; his three sons, Darrell Miller and wife, Cynthia of Mamou, Neil Miller and wife, Denise of Lafayette, Glenn “Noonie” Miller of Eunice; his daughter, Lisa Miller Fontenot and husband, Joseph of Eunice; his brother, Arthur Ray Miller of Eunice; his sister, Diana Garnett of Clarks; his nine grandchildren, Shannon Bertrand Mocanu, Cody Miller, Korey Miller, Ashley Miller Thomas, Jessica Miller Cormier, Logan Miller, Alex Miller, Taylor Fontenot and Briley Fontenot; and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, McKinley and Mary Roy Miller; his son, Bryon Keith Miller; three brothers, Robert Dale “Bobby”, John Donald and McKinley “Skeet” Miller, Jr.; his two sisters, Nancy Coleman and Ramona Kester.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, October 1st from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, October 2nd from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Friday.
