Mamou arrests
The Mamou Police Department reported six recent bookings into the town jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Carrel Chapman, 53, 4329 Vidrine Road, Vidrine, was charged February 5, with simple drunk and possession of marijuana. Chapman was released from jail.
•Kelvin Richard, 40, 608 Ninth St., Mamou, was charged February 5, with loud music. Richard was released after an eight-hour detox.
•Lashonda Wilson, 31, 730 Dupre St., Apt. 80, Ville Platte, was charged February 7, with theft of goods. Wilson bonded out of jail the same day.
•Timothy Johnson, 21, 217 Seventh St., Mamou, was charged February 7, with theft. Johnson bonded out of jail the same day.
•Justin Dwayne Willis, 30, 713 Third St., Mamou, was charged February 8, with domestic abuse battery. Willis bonded out of jail.
•John Broussard, 50, 402 E. North St., Opelousas, was charged February 8, with public intoxication. Broussard was being held in jail at press time.
