Legendary Tennessee gridder, long-time legislator
HARAHAN – Services are Wednesday for long-time legislator and legendary former University of Tennessee football star Hank Lauricella. He died March 25 at age 83.
He served eight years in the Louisiana House and then was a state senator from 1972 until he retired in 1996.
After graduating from Holy Cross HIgh School, he was a tailback on the Tennessee national championship teams of 1950 and 1951. He was an All American and a Heisman Trophy runner-up. He was a member of the College Football Hall or Rame and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. He was a real estate businessman/developer by profession.

Educator, Guard general
BOSSIER CITY – Services for educator and retired Louisiana National Guard Brigadier General James Corley will be Thursday. He died March 24 at age 82.
He was retired principal of Bossier High School and served 44 years in the Guard, including seven as Chief of Staff.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie, a son and a daughter.
Dermatologist
NEW ORLEANS – Services for noted dermatologist Dr. Lee Nesbitt, Jr. will be Friday. He died March 22 at age 72.
He was a descendent of John Webb, a British sailor who was the first non-native American known to have settled on the Acadia side of the Mermentau River (1827).
He was a former member of the LSU Health Sciences Center faculty, clinical professor of dermatology at Tulane School of Medicine, and was a professor at LSU and Tulane at his death. He was active in numerous profession projects and professional groups, authored countless publications and mentored dozens of residents in dermatology.
Survivors include a son and a daughter.
