Thelma Vige'

Thelma Jacobs Vige' died on Friday April 4, 2014 at the age of 84.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 7, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Msg. Robert Romero will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum.
She was a homemaker. In her earlier years she worked in a school lunchroom as well as waitressing at a restaurant. She will be sadly missed by everyone that loved her especially her husband LeRoy and her daughter Kathy.
Her legacy would be one of strong love for her family. She excelled at spoiling her grand daughters and great grand daughters. She will be remembered for enjoying wrestling, her friends, and appreciation for Cajun food and music.
Survivors include her husband, LeRoy; a daugher, Kathy; one brother, Louis Jacobs of Eunice; two grandchildren, Toni Powley and her husband Tim and Becky Fruge; and two great-grandchildren, Chez Hodgson and her husband Bob, and Olivia Adamson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Marie Babineaux Jacobs, Jr.; two brothers, Joseph Clanney Jacobs and Clarence Joseph Jacobs; one nephew, Lawrence Ray "Bubba" Jacobs; one God Child, Beverly Jacobs; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Jacobs, Judy Vige', and Clinda Jacobs; and one son-in-law, James Merlin Fruge.
Visitation will be held on Sunday April 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Gary Gaudin at 6:00 p.m. that evening. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday for visitation until time of service. Q
