Lemoine re-elected in Marksville, Leesville incumbent turned out

Mayor John Lemoine was re-elected Saturday night, earning a second term over challenger Minnie Lafargue with about 55 percent of the vote.
In other area voting, businessman Richard “Rick” Allen defeated incumbent Charles “Robert” Rose in the Leesville mayoral, getting about 55 percent of the vote.
DeRidder Mayor Ron Roberts won a third term with 73 percent of the vote against council member Robert Rice.
A runoff will be held in Winnfield and Colfax mayoral contests.
In Winnfield, Kia Beville and Raza Mughal finished one-two, with neither getting the required 50 percent plus one vote.
In Colfax, Ossie Clark got the 50 percent, but not the one, and will be in a runoff with incumbent Gerald Hamilton, who is seeking his third term.
