Political science professor
LAFAYETTE – Services for political science professor and former radio news director David Milner will be Tuesday. He died May 2 at age 72.
He was news director and director of sales at KROF, Abbeville for many years. He taught political science at LSU Eunice, Northwestern State and ULL.
Survivors include a son.
Arrangements are by Delhomme.
Retired Terminex CEO
BATON ROUGE – Services for former Terminex executive Eugene “Dickie” Gauthreaux, Jr. were held in Cordova, Tenn. He died April 25 at age 82.
He was a former Louisiana National Guard sergeant and worked for Orkin before joining Terminex. He retired as its president and CEO.
Survivors include his wife Sue and several children and step-children.
Newcomb art chairman
NEW ORLEANS – Services will be Friday for former chairman of the Newcomb College Art Dept. John Clemmer. He died at age 92.
He was an artist as well as former chairman of the Newcomb department.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy and three children.
Space engineer
NEW ORLEANS – Services will be Saturday for space engineer Thomas Stephens, Jr. He died April 27 at age 75 in Manhattan Beach, Calif.
He was with TRW Space Systems for 35 years, developing technologies such as telemetry and antenna orientation on several deep space probes, notably Mariner 7 and Pioneer 10. He supervised development of the first GPS system. Among his final projects for TRW was correcting a flaw in the IFF system of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle after the first Gulf War.
Survivors include his wife Millicent.
