Crowley driver dies when vehicle leaves road, overturns

A 35-year-old Crowley woman died following a motor vehicle accident that occurred near the intersection of Harmon & Goodrich Road shortly before 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon, deputies investigating the crash reported that the vehicle, driven by Nicole Marie Hebert of Paulette Lane veered off the roadway, crashed into the ditch and overturned. The driver and passenger were both ejected.
Hebert was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, Ricky Paul Sonnier, was transported by Acadian Ambulance to American General Hospital with severe injuries.
