Bengals scatter for summer ball

Twenty Bengal players are involved in summer league play some where across the country.
For LSU Eunice head coach Jeff Willis, the more action his players can see the better.
“They are scattered across the whole country including Alaska and New York,” he said. “They will all play against good competition this summer facing Division I players.”
Willis said it is also good for the players to see other parts of the country and build new relationships.
Sophomore outfielder Derek Herrington and freshman pitcher Ben Braymer are playing with the Danville (IL) Dans of the Prospect League.
Freshmen outfielder Mason Nickens, pitcher Evan Kissinger and infielder Will Trahan are with the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs in Little Falls, N. Y. of the Collegiate Baseball League.
Red-shirt freshman David Lafleur, sophomore pitcher Will Bacon along with freshman pitcher Nick Hartman and sophomore pitcher Ryan Domingue are with the Fayetteville (N.C.) Swampdogs in the Coastal Plain League.
Freshman infielder Brennan Bozeman is with the Dodge City (KS) A’s of the Jayhawk League.
Freshman catcher Jordan Romero and red-shirt freshman outfielder Steven Sensley are with the Kenosha (WI) Kingfish of the Northwoods League.
Freshmen Zack Hamilton (River Head) and JP Soriano (Shelter Island) are playing with the New York’s Hamptons Collegiate League.
Redshirt-sophomore Janson Bourque is playing with the Geneva Red Wings of the New York Collegiate League.
Redshirt-freshman pitcher Hayden Barnett is with the Woodland Strykers of the Texas Collegiate League.
Sophomore infielder Stefan Trosclair is with the Anchorage Bucs of the Alaska Baseball League.
Freshman Sam Walley is with the Hub City (MS) Rivercats of the Deep South Collegiate League.
LSU-transfer pitcher Mitchell Sewald is with the Watertown Rams, a wooden bat league in New York.
“I haven’t seen a guy come back not a better ball player,” Willis said. “But we are always concerned that they all come back healthy.”
