Hospital exec
GONZALES – Services will be July 12 for hospital executive Donald Frederic. He died July 4 at age 60.
He was former COO at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Lafayette. He most recent post was as CEO at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Russellville, Ark. Prior to that he was president and CEO of Louisiana Medical Center and Heart Hospital in Lacombe.
Survivors include his wife Jeanne and his mother.

Artist, educator
LAFAYETTE – Services for artist and educator Fred Daspit will be July 11. He died at age 83.
He was a retired UL instructor in art and architecture.
Survivors include his wife Jeannine and several children.
Arrangements are by Delhomme.

Youth Sports advocate
LAFAYETTE – Services for youth sports advocate Tommy Flynn will be July 12. He died July 8 at age 65.
He was a Vietnam War veteran. He was a long-time coach and board member of Lafayette Little League Baseball and one of the founders of LYSA Soccer and Lafayette Biddy Basketball.
Survivors include his wife Shelley, two children and a step-child.
