Mardi Gras masks at Jean Lafitte Center

Creating Mardi Gras masks at Cultural Fun Days camp

Seven-and eight-year-old children attending the Summer Fun Cultural Days camp at the Jean Lafitte Center enjoyed crafting and creating their own Mardi Gras masks Tuesday morning. They decorated their screen mask using Elmer’s White glue, strips of colorful material, pieces of cotton, cut-out eye balls, beads, markers. Above from left are Averi Perry, Ariana Guillory, and camp counselor Mallorie Cormier.
