Miller seeking School Board Dist. 12 seat

Roland Miller is a candidate for St. Landry Parish School Board Dist. 12 seat in the Nov. 4 primary election.
He is a former business owner and is completing a four-year term as Eunice City Councilman from Ward 1.
He is a life-long resident of Eunice, with the exception of 20 years military service.
He and his wife Shirley have six children, Kim OBrien and husband Kevin, Lana Michaud and husband Glen, and Christopher Miller, all of Eunice, Greg Courville and family of Fremont, Calif, Deborah Miller Jerry and husband David and Susan Miller, all of Baton Rouge. They have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Miller is a retired U.S. Army master sergeant, with tours of duty in Germany, Korea and Vietnam.
He is the recipient of the Army Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal and various other medals, decorations and citations.
He is a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, the Association of the United States Army, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Harmony Lodge No. 410 F&AM and the Louisiana Municipal Association.
