Former legislator
COUSHATTA – Services for former mayor and legislator H.M. “Mutt” Fowler, Sr. will be Sept. 21. He died Sept. 16 at age 96.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was in the insurance business for years. He was Coushatta mayor for 20 years before serving 14 years as a state representative.
Survivors include a son.
Arrangements are by Rose-Neath.

Radio broadcaster
LAFAYETTE – Services for long-time radio broadcaster Roy Hebert will be Sept. 20. He died Sept. 16 at age 88.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He worked at stations in Alexandria, Covington, Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Houston, Texas. He was also in the insurance business. He was instrumental in bringing Little League Baseball to Lafayette.
Survivors include his wife Juanita and two children.
Arrangements are by Delhomme.

Home builder
BATON ROUGE – Services for home builder Dorothy Kimball will be Sept. 19. She died Sept. 16 at age 86.
She assisted in establishing the Driver’s Education program in Louisiana schools. Later, she was the first female builder to make a speech at the National Homebuilders Association annual convention.
Survivors include two daughters.
Arrangements are by Greenoaks.

Hopper's owner
BATON ROUGE – Services for restaurant chain owner J.L. Mallett, Sr. will be Sept. 20. He died Sept. 17 at age 84.
He owned Hopper’s Drive-in, a South Louisiana chain of restaurants, as well as a scrap material business and a pipe and steel company.
Survivors include his wife Sylvia and four children.
Arrangements are by Greenoaks.
