Wilda Hollier
Wilda Hollier died Friday, Sept. 26, 20145, a day before her 79th birthday. Her Celebration of Life will begin with visitation at Ardoin’s Funeral Home on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 3:00 pm with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm with Deacon Gary Gaudin presiding.
On Monday, September 29, 2014, visitation continues at 8:00 am until 9:30 am. The Mass of Resurrection will be at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Father Dustin Dought, Celebrant. Rite of Committal will be at St. Paul Mausoleum.
She was a beautician for 40 years at Cobb's Beauty Shop, formerly known as Pearl's. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, where she served as a lector and an Extra-Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion. She was Catholic Daughthers #$208 Daughter of the Year in 1994, a member of the Omega Group and of the St. Anthony's funeral choir.
Survivors include her husband, Roger “Yogi” Hollier of Eunice; four sons, Gary Hollier and wife, Carolyn of New Roads, Floyd Hollier of Richmond, VA, Lloyd Hollier and wife, Dana of Eunice, Wendell Hollier and wife, Lisa of Richmond, VA; three daughters, Renee Baudin and husband, Chris of Jennings, Amy Langley and husband, Keith of Eunice, Ann Johnson and husband, John of New Roads; 21 grandchildren, Callie Hollier Geier, Hayley Hollier Adams, John Raymond Hollier, Michael Hollier, Tori Hollier, Steven Hollier, Shelly Hollier, Keri Hollier, Blake Hollier, Cole Hollier, Christopher Baudin, Samuel, Baudin, Rebecca Baudin, Matthew Brown, Alicia Brown, Jackson Langley, Tyler Langley, Faith Langley, Jeslyn Johnson, Katilyn Johnson and Wyatt Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Joseph Geier, Mackenzie Geier, Addison Hollier and Lilly Hollier; brother, Wayne Guillory and wife, Brenda of Ville Platte; sisters, Ruby Marcantel of Lake Charles, and Lorraine Savant and husband, Terry of Pine Prairie; sister in-law, Barbara Israel of Mamou.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Elna Smith Guillory; sister, Juanita Guillory Ardoin; infant son, Steven Hollier.
