Two women charged with shoplifting-selling scheme

Two women with the same first and last names are charged with a shoplifting trip to Walmart, with the pre-planned objective of selling or otherwise distributing the loot.
Police said Lakeisha Anne Thomas, 32, of Lafayette and Lakeisha Tameka Thomas, 31, of Duson were arrested Tuesday.
Officers were uncertain of the suspects are related.
According to reports, one of the women is a former employee of Walmart in another Acadiana city.
The older woman is charged with theft of goods by shoplifting, illegal possession of stolen property, entry/remain on premises after being forbidden and organized retail theft.
Her alleged accomplice is charged with theft of goods and illegal possession of stolen things.
Details of their alleged scheme were not available.
