JoAnn Fontenot

JoAnn L. Fontenot died on Monday, October 13, 2014 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 77. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Ashford Cemetery with Father Dustin Dought Celebrant.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her seven children, Janice F. McGee and husband, Cullen, Wilbert Fontenot, Robert Fontenot and wife, Denise and Dutchess Fontenot, all of Eunice, Lionel Fontenot and wife, Natalie of Angleton, Texas, Andy Fontenot of Eunice and Orese Fontenot and wife, Annie of Glenmora; a brother, Richard LaCombe of Kingston, Ariz. and a sister, Nellie Sonnier of Eunice; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roddie Fontenot; a son, Eddie Fontenot; daughter, Roxanne Fontenot; parents, Andy and Bertille Dupre LaCombe.
Vsitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, October 15th from 12:30 pm until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.
