Workers Comp exec
DERIDDER – Services for insurance executive and workers comp specialist Aubrey Temple, Jr. will be Oct. 22. He died Oct. 18 at age 68.
He was co-founder of Amerisafe Insurance, which writes policies across the country and employs more than 400 persons. He was founding chairman of the board of Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corp., holding that post for the company’s first 20 years, and was named chairman emeritus in 2012. He was on the board of The Business First Bank and served on the Louisiana Superdome Commission and the Sabine River Authority.
Survivors include his wife Linda and three children.
Arrangements are by Labby Memorial.

School superintendent
ATHENS – Services for former superintendent of schools and La. Tech basketball player William “Bill” Bailey will be Oct. 23. He died Oct. 20 at age 81.
He was former principal of Summerfield School and superintendent of Claiborne Parish schools. After retirement he was assistant principal at Athens High and director of Louisiana Technical College Vocational School in Homer.
Survivors include his wife Glenda and five children.
Arrangements are by Rose-Neath, Homer.

Defense attorney
WEST MONROE – Services are pending for defense attorney Charles Kincade. He died Oct. 18 while traveling in Germany.
He was a member of the Ouachita Parish Indigent Defender Board.
Survivors include his wife Mary.
Arrangements are by Griffin.

Southern instructor
BATON ROUGE – Services for retired Souther University English instructor Lois St. Amant will be Oct. 22. She died Oct. 16.
She retired as director/executive administrator of the Southern Upward Bound program.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. C. Norman St. Amant.
Arrangements are by Davis & Sons.

Two-war vet, minister
PINEVILLE – Services for two-war veteran the Rev. Michael Gish will be Oct. 22. He died Oct. 18 at age 86.
He was a U.S. Navy, Army and Air Force veteran and served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was an LPN and minister with The Assemblies of The Lord Jesus Christ, pastoring at a number of churches in Louisiana.
Survivors include his wire Farris, children and step-children.
Arrangements are by Hixson Bros.
