St. Landry DA candidates report additional contributions
Earl Taylor and Ellis Daigle received significant contributions to their district attorney campaigns in the month leading up to Tuesday’s primary election.
Taylor, the incumbent, and Daigle, a former district judge, have each raised more than $200,000 total for their campaigns and are positioned for last-minute media pushes voting nears.
Candidates are required to file during the 20-day period immediately preceding an election all receipts from a single source in excess of certain thresholds, and are required to do so within 48 hours of the transaction.
Taylor, through Oct. 30, reported the following:
$2,500 -- Mary Benhard, Palmetto; Mary Lee, Port Barre; Dorothy Rabalais, Cypress, Texas; Brent Hoffpauir, Sunset; Jaimie Lacombe, Simmesport; Sharon Taylor, Sunset; Stephania Taylor, Prairieville; K&G Family LLC, Sunset; Holly Hill LLC, Sunset.
$2,000 -- D. Wayne Elmore, Lafayette.
$1,700 -- Charles Cravins Law, Opelousas; Goodtime Tours, Opelousas.
Daigle, through Oct. 30, reported the following:
$2,500 -- Vidrine Holding, Eunice.
$1,300 -- Committee to Elect Bobby Guidroz.
$1,000 -- Adams Family Co., Lafayette; American Title Co., Lafayette; Baggett McCall Burgess Watson, Lake Charles; ACE High Club, Opelousas; Jones Walker LLP, Lafayette; Lawrence Curtis Ltd., Lafayette; Monster Rentals, Rayne; Paul Gibson PC, Lafayette; Sam Landers, Scott; Tony Chachere’s Creole Foods, Opelousas.
Daigle reporting lending his campaign $10,000 of his own funds.
