Cattleman
ALEXANDRIA – Services will be Nov. 5 for cattleman and long-time sheriff’s major Hardin K. Lewis. He died Nov. 2 at age 83.
He served on the boards of several organizations, including the Red Cross and the parish fair. He was former president of the Louisiana Cattleman’s Association.
Survivors include his wife Jimmie and three daughters.
Arrangements are by John Kramer & Son.

Petroleum landman
LAFAYETTE – Services for petroleum landman Pennye Conner will be Nov. 4. She died Oct. 31 at age 59.
She was owner and president of Cash River Exploration and held various posts with the American Association of Petroleum Landmen.
Survivors include her husband Richard and a son.
Arrangements are by Martin & Castille.

Coburn's official
OPELOUSAS – Services for retired Coburn’s Supply executive George Soileau will be Nov. 4. He died Nov. 1 at age 76.
He was with Coburn’s for 45 years, retiring as senior vice president and general manager of the Lafayette region.
Survivors include his wife Mary and four children.
Arrangements are by Sibille.

Education expert
MONROE – Services for former parish school supervisor, LSU professor and University of South Alabama department chair Dr. John Greene will be Nov. 3. He died Nov. 1 at age 101.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was supervisor of schools in Union Parish, an instructor at LSU and the University of Maryland and director of instruction for Baton Rouge public schools. He retired as professor and department chairman at South Alabama. He was former president of the international Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development.
