Marshal, Gen. Eisenhower aide
WISNER – Services for long-time town marshal and aide to Gen. Dwight Eisenhower during World War II Eldon Brown, Jr. will be Dec. 12. He died Dec. 8 at age 97 of injuries sustained when his truck was rear-ended.
He was a state trooper before World War II. As a member of the Army, he was selected as escort and aide to Eisenhower, participated in the D-Day landing and was involved in the liberation of prisoners of German concentration camps. Among those he was assigned by Eisenhower as an escort for were George Patton, Harry Truman and Winston Churchill. He was Wisner marshal for almost 30 years.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy.

Energy exec
LAFAYETTE – Services for Superior Energy retire executive Richard Gillette will be private. He died Dec. 7 at age 70.
He retired as vice president of accounting administration for the energy company. Previously, he was CFO of Garber Industries and CFO of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Survivors include his wife Sherry and three children.
