First Baby of the Year

First Baby of the 2015 Year at Acadian Medical Center is Zachery Ryan West. Baby Zachery made his grand appearance on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, at 5:10 a.m. Zachery weighs 5 pounds and 1 ounce and measures 18 inches in length. His parents are Bethany Clark of Turkey Creek and Jonathan West of Ville Platte. Dr. Monty Heinen was Bethany’s Ob/gyn doctor; however Dr. Kayla Fontenot delivered baby Zachery. Zachery was showered with baby gift items courtesy of the hospital. His maternal grandparents are Les and Sharon Clark of Turkey Creek and paternal grandparents are Angie Weaver of Ville Platte and Arthur Sittig of Ville Platte. Bethany’s due date was January 22 but baby Zachery had his own plans. Bethany said with a smile on her face, “I’m very excited that Zachery is the New Year baby!” The baby’s pediatrician is Dr. Kermen Beauchamp.
