Women's rights attorney
BATON ROUGE – No services are planned for women’s rights attorney Sylvia Roberts. She died Dec. 29 at age 80.
She was active in the founding of the National Organization of Women and while vice president of its legal defense and education fund won a precedent-setting cast that ended restrictions on job availability under the guise of “protection” for women workers.

Baptist pastor
BATON ROUGE – Services are Jan. 134 for Baptist pastor Dr. Richard White.
He was founder of Calvary Baptist Foundation of India, helping plant almost 500 churches in that country. He started Calvary Heights Baptist and Mercy Church of Baton Rouge and also pastored in Shreveport, Florida and Georgia.
Survivors include his wife Pamela and two sons.
Arrangements are by Resthaven.

LSU athletes' cook
BATON ROUGE – Services for long-time cook for LSU athletes Marjorie PIno will be Jan. 14. She died Jan. 9 at age 85.
For more than 25 years she and her staff of 25 were responsible for feeding LSU football, basketball, baseball, track and field, gymnasts and other athletes in Broussard Hall in the Athletic Dorm.
Survivors include two children.
Arrangements are by Greenoaks.

Dentist
NEW ORLEANS – Services for former Louisiana Dental Association president Dr. Francis Dauterive, Sr. were Jan. 10. He died Jan. 8 at age 87.
He practiced general dentistry and endowed a chair in his name at LSU Dental School. He was also a cattle rancher.
Survivors include his wife Lily and a son.

Probation, parole supervisor
MONROE – Services for former state probation official Claud Cruse were Jan. 11. He died Jan. 7 at age 71.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was retired supervisor of probation and parole for the Louisiana State Department of Corrections and a former warden of Ouachita Correctional Center.
Survivors include his wife Peggy and two sons.
