Car dealer, investment CFO
ALEXANDRIA – Services for former Ford dealer and CFO of Public Investors Inc. Walter Morock will be Jan. 21. He died Jan. 19 at age 87.
He was a CPA. He and his brothers Emil and Michael operated a Ford-Lincoln Mercury dealership in the 1950s and 60s. He was CFO of Public Investors for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife Agnes and three daughters.
Arrangements are by John Kramer and Son.
Engineer-builder
BATON ROUGE – Services for engineer Lewis “Ed” Miremont, whose firm designed and built buildings across Louisiana, will be Jan. 22. He died Jan. 20 at age 91.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. The firm of Desmond-Miremont worked in the area of college buildings, campus planning, libraries, commercial buildings, public buildings, church buildings and residences, receiving countless professional awards and recognitions.
Survivors include his wife Linda and five children.
Arrangements are by Church.
Sailor, Tulane gridder
DENHAM SPRINGS – Services for noted amateur sailor and former Tulane football player Dan Eagin will be Jan. 23. He died Jan. 13 at age 77.
He was an All-South tackle at Warren Easton High and named player of the year at the Tulane 1958 athletic banquet. He was retired district sales manager for Picker International. He won several Gulf Coast Region sailing races through the New Orleans Southern Yacht Club.
Survivors include his wife JoAnn and a son.
