St. Edmund students attend Washington, D.C. Right To Life March

On Jan. 20, St. Edmund High School embarked on their third bi-annual pilgrimage to Washington, D.C., for the Right to Life March in the nation’s capitol. Their mission was to be a voice for unborn children who have no voice and to help reverse the Roe vs. Wade decision. This year’s overall attendance at the march was estimated to be 500,000. Thirty-nine students and five chaperones made the trip. A parish priest celebrated Mass daily with the students during their time in Washington. The trip is open to all junior and senior students. In addition to attending the march, students attended the Mass to mark the beginning of the Vigil for Life at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. During their time in Washington, students also toured many museums and landmarks. The highlight for most students was the National Holocaust Museum, which commemorates the loss of lives in concentration camps during World War II.
