NASA communications expert
BATON ROUGE – Services for NASA communications expert Teddy Morrison will be Jan. 30. He died Jan. 27 at age 66.
He was instrumental in designing and maintaining communication systems between the ground and manned spacecraft. He served in several locations throughout the US and in Spain before completing his career at the NASA White Sands facility in New Mexico, where he helped establish reliable communications between NASA and the space shuttle. After his retirement, he was a consultant on several NASA projects.
Survivors include his wife Edwinna and two children.

2nd Circuit judge
SHREVEPORT – Services will be Jan. 31 for Judge Charles Peatross. He died Jan. 28 at age 74.
He was elected as an appellate judge to the Second Circuit Court of Appeal in 1996 and then again, without opposition, in 2002. He was a former Shreveport city attorney and was elected as a member of the first Shreveport City Council under Shreveport’s present form of city government and served as its chairman in 1982. He has served as the Louisiana State Chairman for the National Institute of Law Officers.
Survivors include his wife Betsy and three children.
