Rayne police seek information

Rayne police are asking for information about a shooting that occured at 1:50 a.m. Saturday at the Frog City Travel Plaza, 1418 N Polk Street, Rayne.
After arriving the scene, Rayne police found hristopher Trent, 32, of Jennings, had been shot multiple times.
Trent was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital where he died from his wounds at 11:14 a.m.
The Rayne Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the death as a homicide.
Anyone with information concerning the crime is asked to contact the Acadiana Crime Stoppers at 789-TIPS or the Rayne Police Department. Callers can remain anonymous and information that results in the arrest of the offenders will receive a cash reward.
