Window broken, but door was open at burglarized Dairy Queen

Eunice police nabbed two men and charged them with simple burglary of the Dairy Queen Brazier on U.S. 190 Saturday.
Police Chief Randy Fontenot said, “There was a door that was accidentally left open, but they broke in through a window. I guess not knowing a door was unlocked.”
And, the two men ended up empty-handed for their ineffective effort, he said.
Nothing was reported missing from the Dairy Queen, Fontenot said.
Arrested for simple burglary were Jimmy Cruz Jr., 25, and Felix Cruz Jr., 52, both of 1401 U.S. 190, Eunice.
Witnesses spotted the two men and called police at at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Fontenot said.
Officers located one suspect in walking in front of the business and another was found at their residence, he said.
The suspect found at the residence had pieces of glass in his clothing, Fontenot said.
