LSU Eunice civic group Yard Sale April 25 at Jardin des Amis

EUNICE - The LSUE Students in Civic Engagement group is hosting a Yard Sale on Saturday, April 25 from 7:30 a.m. until noon.
This is their spring community project; proceeds benefit the Eunice Community Garden.
Participants interested in selling items are asked to donate a minimum participation fee of $15, to reserve their space at the Eunice Community Garden site.
Sign up forms can be found online at http://lsuefoundation.org/garden-2/ or by calling the LSUE Foundation office at 337-550-1257.
Besides garage sale items, participants can also reserve space to sell “Farmer’s Market” food and produce, such as homemade jams, jellies and canned items, as well as arts and crafts. The participants are asked to provide their own tables and chairs for the event. Participants keep all the proceeds from their sales.
In addition, Eunice Community Gardeners will have plants to sell or exchange. Dr. Patricia Brown, Planning Committee member said that local gardeners are also encouraged to bring their own plants to exchange. The group will also have hot dogs, chips, water and other beverages for sale.
“We welcome all of the community and will be there to answer potential community gardeners’ questions, “said Brown. “If you are interested in starting a garden bed or volunteering to help other gardeners, please know you are welcome. We want everyone to come out, enjoy the spring weather and meet their gardening neighbors at our site. Working together, we all put community into the community garden.”
The Eunice Community Garden, Jardin des Amis, is a project of the LSUE Foundation, and located at 2101 West Ash Street, across from Eunice High and immediately behind the new Department of Motor Vehicles office.
