Guillory elected to Louisiana Press Association board

Darrell Guillory, publisher of The Eunice News and chief operating officer of Louisiana State Newspapers, was elected to a three-year term on the board of the Louisiana Press Association, the statewide organization of 120 member publications.
The election occurred during the association’s 135th annual convention and was announced Saturday.
Also elected to three-year board terms were Clancy Dubos, publisher of Gambit Weekly, New Orleans; and Will Chapman, publisher of The Daily Iberian, New Iberia.
Continuing to serve as directors are Sam Hanna Jr., publisher of The Ouachita Citizen, West Monroe; Suzanne P. Nelson, publisher of Southwest Daily News, Sulphur; Wilbur Reynaud, publisher of The News Examiner, Lutcher, The Assumption Pioneer, Napoleonville, and The Enterprise, Vacherie; Dan Shea, president and chief operating officer of The Advocate, Baton Rouge; David A. Specht, Jr., president of Specht Newspapers; and Judi Terzotis, president and publisher of The Daily Advertiser, Lafayette.
The Louisiana Press Association Foundation president and liaison to the board is Miles Forrest, LPA past president and retired publisher.
Norris Babin, co-publisher of The Plaquemines Gazette, Belle Chase, and The St. Bernard Voice, Arabi, will continue to serve as past president.
The 2015 President’s Award was presented to Renette Dejoie Hall, Louisiana Weekly, New Orleans, for her demonstrated leadership skills and contributions to Louisiana Press Association.
