Judge revokes Redlich bail, new bond set at $850,000

CROWLEY – A Basile man awaiting trial for alleged attempted second-degree murder has had his bond revoked, then increased following an arrest of other charges. He was still in jail on Monday.

Devin Redlich, 25, is accused of slashing two men in Basile in November 2010.

Redlich is charged with attempting to kill one man and battery with a dangerous weapon on the other.

In August, out on bond in that case he ran into the law again, being charged with aggravated battery and criminal damage to property after a domestic disturbance on La. 97 near Bearcat Road.

Judge Kristian Earles set bond at $25,000 in the most recent case and Redlich posted it.

Subsequently Earles held a revocation hearing and rescinded Redlich’s initial bond, re-setting it at $850,000.
