Fallen trooper to be honored

Following the tragic line of duty death of 44-year-old Louisiana State Police veteran Senior Trooper Steven Vincent, funeral and memorial service arrangements have been finalized as follows:
Visitation for Senior Trooper Steven Vincent will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Home located at 4321 Lake St., Lake Charles.
The funeral will take place at noon Saturday at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church located at 3939 Lake St., Lake Charles with burial to follow at the Lacassine Cemetery on Ann Street at U.S. 90 (east of La. 101) Lacassine.
Vincent succumbed to his injuries Monday morning after he was shot by a suspect during the course of a traffic incident on Sunday, a news release from the Louisiana State Police stated.
Vincent is survived by his wife Katherine, 9-year-old son Ethan, his brothers, Louisiana State Police Trooper Terrell Vincent and Town of Iowa Police Chief Keith Vincent, as well as a large extended family.
The Vincent family and Troopers from across the state have been touched by the incredible outpouring of support received from across the nation and across the world.
