Candidate forum planned by for House, Senate districts

The St. Landry Parish Democratic Executive Committee is planning a forum entitled, Democratic Forum 2015.
The forum will highlight those candidates for state senator- District 24 and state representative District Number 40.
Due to time constraint, those candidates who are seeking the office of governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, state treasurer and commissioner of insurance will be allowed the opportunity to briefly address the audience.
The forum will be held in Opelousas on Oct. 1 at the Delta Grand located at 137 South Market St.
The event begins with a social hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The forum will begin at 6:35 p.m.
Each candidate will be asked three questions by three panelists and each candidate will be given the opportunity to respond. Following the question and answer period each candidate will have the opportunity to provide closing remarks. Additional candidates will be allowed five minutes each to address the audience.
Individuals from television, radio and newspapers will serve as moderator and panelists.
