Willis named top coach

By Tom Dodge

LSU Eunice won the 2015 NJCAA Division II baseball national championship and Skippers Dugout this week named Bengal head coach Jeff Willis as the top junior college coach of the year.
"I'm humbled to receive this award as this award is nominated and selected through your coaching peers," Willis said. "This award really belongs to my assistant coaches, Alan Orgain, Javier Solis, and Kade Keowen because without them, nothing happens. They are in the trenches everyday making our program go."
LSU Eunice captured its fifth national championship with a 14-12, 16-1 sweep over Western Oklahoma State College in Enid, Oklahoma on May 30.
