Acadia Parish registrar announces key election dates
The last day for persons to register to vote in the Oct. 24 Gubernatorial Primary Election will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Regular office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, in the Registrar of Voters office, 568 NW Court Circle, Crowley.
Proper indentification required for registering to vote is one of the following documents: current Louisiana’s driver’s license, current Louisiana identification card, birth certificate, and or/baptismal certificate.

Early voting
Early voting for the Gubernatorial Primary Election will be Oct. 10 and Oct. 12 through Oct. 17. Office hours will be 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
A reminder to voters is to bring proper identification and is required during early voting. Bring the following: current Louisiana driver’s license or current Louisiana identification card and your voter identification card.
Voters who require assistance during early voting or when they go to their voting precinct on Election Day are required to bring a physician’s certificate or excuse stating the reason they need assistance. This document is to be given to the registrar or to the commissioner in charge to be delivered to the Registrar.
Election supervisors
A meeting of the Acadia Parish Board of Election Supervisors will be held in the Registrar of Voters office, 568 NW Court Circle, Crowley at 10 a.m. Sept. 25 to draw the commissioners for the Oct. 24 Gubernatorial Primary Election.
This meeting is open to the public.
